My name is Alice, and I’m the one who keeps this little, crazy family called Breakdown Tours together: we love going to festivals, headbanging, and, when our knees are up for it (mine not so much lately), throwing ourselves into crazy mosh pits.

Sweden Rock Festival
, June 2–7, 2026
The day-by-day and stage-by-stage schedule for Sweden Rock is finally out! It’s time to fine-tune our strategy, make some tough choices, and whisper a little prayer to timetable clash gods...
But can we just take a moment to appreciate this lineup? Four days with incredible bands, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of rural Sweden. Not bad, right?
If these names are already on your “must-see” list, and you don’t mind throwing in the occasional sauna session, then you should definitely come along. We’ll be staying in a gorgeous villa surrounded by greenery, complete with sauna, barbecue, kitchen, and plenty of outdoor space to recharge between headbangs. It’s just 15 minutes from the festival, and we’ll handle the daily trips with our private van.
WACKEN OPEN AIR
July 27 – August 2, 2026
The Wacken people have spoken and the festival responded: Wacken Open Air just announced a series of major upgrades to the Holy Ground, mostly designed to keep things (slightly) more under control when the rain inevitably shows up. Yes, we all remember last year’s legendary mud-show…my shoes never recovered from that.
With nearly 4 km of new paved roads, steel plates in front of the stages, improved lighting, and a solid upgrade to the Wheels of Steel camping area, Wacken is gearing up for whatever the weather throws at it.
That said, tradition does say the sun will be shining in 2026… so pack sunscreen. And maybe boots. Just to be safe.
Rain or shine, you won't want to miss the 35th anniversary of this epic festival.

A special shout-out to all the new friends we met at our first Tomorrowland Winter. We temporarily swapped our combat boots for snow boots and dance shoes, and spent an entire week hopping from one stage to another at this simply surreal winter festival. We can say without a doubt: we loved every single moment. And yes, we’re already counting down to the next one.
